About Buildsmith

Buildsmith is an equipment recommendation tool for Baldur's Gate 3. Upload your save file and receive per-character equipment advice — scored against class profiles, synergy-aware, and backed by comprehensive game data extraction.

How It Works

1. Upload your .lsv save file
2. The engine extracts your inventory, party composition, and equipment state
3. Every equippable item is scored against each character's class profile
4. Synergies between items are detected and factored in
5. Optimal loadouts are generated with swap recommendations

Scoring Engine

Items are scored across seven categories — offense, defense, spellcasting, healing, utility, control, and resource management — weighted by class profile. The engine considers weapon proficiency, armor compatibility, ability score affinity, extra attack scaling, crit synergy, concentration reliance, and rest-cycle frequency.

Privacy

Save files are processed and automatically deleted after 24 hours. Generated reports are retained for 30 days. No account required, no tracking.
